A Word About the Usability of Attorney General Sites

Some of the A.G. offices below do not provide many telephone numbers on their sites for consumers' immediate access/needs. Two to ten minutes were spent to search EACH site for the information provided. The search was performed between 3/1/07 through 4/10/07.

Allow me to share my years of computer design experience background and briefly say: There are some sites below that I would NOT mind spending hours reading their USEFUL information; however, there are some sites that are circular and do not offer much USEFUL information. Sometimes, I wonder if some sites designers need to gain more experience or the offices need to deliver user friendly site/content. You be the judge ...!

While some of the sites are just full of circular contents, most actually provide relevant information that is useful to the state's citizens, taxpayers, victims, elderly, parents and our future (children). Although you have to read pages and pages of sites (in some cases) to learn the duties of the office, some are readily presented. For example, in a matter of a couple of minutes, you will understand the Attorney General's duties by reading the Tennessee A.G.'s site. It even briefly describes the difference between State Attorney (District Attorney) and the Attorney General (to reduce confusion). Utah A.G.'s site describes the duties as well.
